Choosing a template

ranty ships three built-in templates. Set yours in ranty.yml:

template: magazine # minimal | archive | magazine

All three are dark- and light-aware and pick up your accent colour. The screenshots below are generated from the live templates, so they always match the current design.

minimal

A single reading column: a featured post, then a clean list. Best for a personal blog where the writing is the point.

The minimal template

archive

A compact header with your role, posts grouped by year, tags in the list. Best for a chronological archive of notes and changelogs.

The archive template

magazine

A featured hero and a grid of cards with covers. Best when posts are visual and you publish often.

Want full control of the HTML instead? That's file-based themes (Pro).
